This passage intends to review the ways in which the study of the history of political literature has traditionally been conducted and examine some new trend in this historiography. Which has seen vigorous debates and enormous efforts with regard to the methodology appropriate to its enquiries. The rise of behavioralism decades ago provides an immediate setting for undertaking the narrative about the
emergence of the crisis of self-identity in the discipline of political theory per se. The differing views of the nature of political thought may in fact result from different conceptions about political discourse; one of which tends to insist on the inextricability between language and polities and therefore point to the necessity to focus upon the political dimension in our linguistico-cultural tradition.
Textual criticism is inevitable in our reconstructing an intellectual history such as the history of political thought, it is hence the primary task of the historians engaged in this field to develop their respective hermeneutics. However, interpretation theory alone does not suffice in rendering an history of ideas intelligible, some historian argues, and it is only with the macro-study of the patterns and logie of the transmission of thought that one can feel more comfortable presenting stories as historically sound - superb philosophy may not be superb history. The Kuhnian notion of paradigm appears as an convenient tool for tracing some kinds of intellectual past; properly modified, it then becomes available as an analytical device aimed at isolating trends of thought that otherwise may e easily perceived as working in history to confine or inspire man's thinking toward this or that direction. And only with more methodological sensitivity like this, it is claimed, that good work of history is more likely to ensue.

The purpose of this study are threefold：First, it introduces a new approach to the study of voting-the collective choice theory. Some criteria for judging the fairness of voting methods are briefly reviewed, and some commonly practiced voting rules are examined in this study to show that none of them fully satisfies the theoretical conditions of fairness. Secondly, it utilizes the same criteria for judging voting methods to investigate the fairness of legislatorial election currently held in Taiwan area. This study shows that the manipulation or the arrangement ballots is very possible, in fact, very effective under current voting system. Consequently, it is unfair to both voters and candidate for future revision of the current voting system. Since only under single member district system, the manipulation of ballots could be completely avoided.

The study of international relations has been guided by two major paradigms, idealism and realism. The international system itself has undergone significant changes both in structure and process in the last two decades or so. The implications on the study of international relations as a result of these changes become the focal point of this paper. It explains the role of theory in the international relations, the role of model and related methodological issues concerning concept, variable and hypothesis. It then proceeds to analyze the emergence of neorealism and neoliberalism. A better understanding of international relations calls for further research along these lines.
